About Dr. Shannon
Dr. Jennifer Shannon is a Seattle-based child psychiatrist with expertise in digital mental health and healthcare AI. After 15 years of clinical practice specializing in treating children and adolescents with mental health conditions, Dr. Shannon recognized the critical role that digital health and AI played in increasing access to mental health services which led her to join Cognoa as a medical director during which time she helped develop the first FDA-authorized digital diagnostic machine learning based software as medical device for autism.

Dr. Shannon is on the AACAP (American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry) AI Resource Committee and believes all healthcare providers should have access to education, training, and resources on how to develop and implement AI-enabled tools into practice. She continues to be clinically active in multiple practice settings.
She recently founded PsychedAboutAI, a company on a mission to transform how medical knowledge is accessed and utilized via AI-powered knowledge engines.
